Background
Marigold Naar brings more than 20 years in Jamaica’s insurance and employee benefits market to Liguanea Advisory Group, built on two decades of sales and account leadership before that.
Since 2010 she has led a brokerage’s employee benefits division as its top-producing manager. She built its largest benefits book, with peak annual premium production of about J$350 million, and has mentored the wider sales team on building a lasting sales career.
Earlier, as a senior insurance consultant with two Kingston brokerages, she advised companies on group health, life and general insurance. Before that, over more than 20 years with a business forms company, she managed 60 major accounts, was named top sales representative four times, and chaired the committee that lifted sales by J$50 million.
Public service
Marigold has served on two Jamaican public-sector boards. She chaired the Audit Committee of the Casino Gaming Commission from 2016 to 2023, overseeing the accuracy of its financial statements and its compliance with gaming control laws, and chaired the Finance Committee of the Overseas Examinations Commission from 2016 to 2020.
Her role at Liguanea
Marigold is often the first conversation. She works with leaders to understand where their organization is under pressure, then brings in the right advisory support. The advisory work itself is led by Willie.
Her network across Jamaica’s corporate, insurance and public sectors means introductions happen through people who already know and trust the work.
Community
She served on the fundraising committee of the American Women’s Group, raising funds for underprivileged schools and young women, leading classroom renovations, and speaking to youth groups.
