Technology in young hands.

Putting working computers in Jamaica’s basic and primary schools, so children learn technology early and grow up ready to lead with it.

Technology is changing how Jamaicans learn, work and do business, and the pace is only increasing. Children who become comfortable with computers early carry that confidence through every stage of school and into their working lives.

Yet many basic and primary schools do not have enough working devices for students to learn on. Liguanea Advisory is asking businesses to help close that gap with equipment they have already retired.

How your organization can help

Companies replace their laptops on a regular cycle. A machine that no longer suits the corporate office can serve a classroom well for years. We are asking organizations to donate decommissioned laptops that meet this standard:

  • An Intel Core i5 processor, 8th generation or newer, or an AMD equivalent
  • At least 8 GB of memory and a solid-state drive
  • In working order, with its power adapter
  • All company data securely erased before the device leaves your organization

Liguanea Advisory collects donated equipment directly. Contact us to arrange collection.

Your data stays protected

Every device must be fully wiped before it leaves your organization. As a technology advisory firm, we can guide your team on erasing data securely and documenting the disposal, so your donation also meets your data protection obligations.

Planting for the future

It is much like tending a garden: what we plant and water today is what we harvest tomorrow. Give our children the tools and the knowledge now, and they will grow into the innovators, professionals and leaders this country will depend on.
